bio:

TJ GIRARD is a sought-after food designer and creative consultant, celebrated for staging theatrical, interactive food and beverage experiences.  Her clients include some of the world’s most notable brands as well as New York’s foremost cultural institutions.

Raised in both Paris and Los Angeles in a household of “makers, doers, and builders,” TJ credits her family of food lovers and designers for her draw to hands-on creative work. Using food as her muse and medium, TJ’s current design studio, TASTE:WORK:SHOP, is dedicated to creating interactive eating objects and memorable experiences for people to share and connect together.

With a degree in set design, TJ has dedicated the past 15 years to blending her passion for scenography with her culinary prowess, innovating both domains and becoming a leader in New York’s food design + event industry. Her experience working in film and television fine tuned her collaborative skills and make her an ideal partner for finding creative solutions.

As the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Pinch Food Design for 12 years, TJ developed design-centered food presentations for top tier clientele including the Museum of Modern Art, Veuve Clicquot, Nike, Google, and entertainment industry leaders such as NBC, HBO, BRAVO, and SONY. She also had the opportunity to work with world-renowned chefs including Chef Albert Adria, Chef Margarita Fores, the culinary team from Mugaritz, and Chef Wylie Dufresne.
